Blue Daisy Jewellery

Blue Daisy Jewellery was born while I was doing my PhD in molecular genetics. I needed a hobby to keep me sane and to help me relax after all that science during the day. Soon I started making sewn beadwork which is great fun but very time-consuming and then I moved into simple stringing. After a while I started to be more brave, experimenting with different colors, materials, techniques and tools. The big step from hobby to business came when a friend who was organizing a charity craft fair asked if I would like a table. I panicked and made loads more stock but the fair went really well and people liked my designs. I have never looked back since and thoroughly enjoy experimenting with all aspects of jewellery making. I particularly enjoy the complexity of Chain Maille designs, and also love perfectly complimenting some of my favourite lampwork artists glass beads with simple Swarovski crystals and Sterling silver. All the designer jewellery you see here is handmade in Scotland by me and my husband Keith. I’ve built up quite a local following and many visitors to the area ask if I have a website when they see me at a craft fair, so here it is. Please have a look round, I hope you enjoy it.
